Nova Telecom is a Cork-based internet service provider (ISP). Using our own broadband network, we have been providing high-quality communications services including residential broadband and business IP services since 2004. We are looking for an energetic and innovative person to take on the role of Installations Engineer. You will be responsible for residential and business broadband installations, base station building and maintenance.

What you will be doing for us….

    • Installation of wireless broadband at residential homes.

    • Installation of broadband at commercial premises via fibre optic cable and / or wireless links, networking and installation of Network Termination Unit with the support of our NOC team. (Training in wireless networks and fibre splicing provided).

    • Service calls to either of the above in the event of a fault.

    • Completion of time-sheets, service dockets etc.

    • Meeting and exceeding our high standards of installation work.

    • Base station building and maintenance. Sites vary between one story buildings to 50M towers.

      • You will be a strong team member with excellent communication and planning skills.

    • On call rotation where you will be required to complete on site repairs in the event of a network outage out of hours.

Your Skills, Qualifications and Experience…

You should have most of the following.

    • At least three years experience in a similar role.

      • Desire to learn about telco/ISP environment, including wireless technologies is a must.

    • Two excellent references.

Training: You will be trained in our in house systems, we will also provide training for a valid Safe Pass, Manual Handling Cert and MEWP Cert. There may also be an opportunity to obtain a Climbing & Rescue Cert to enable you for tower climbing.

Area of Work: Cork, Limerick, Tipperary, Kilkenny

Hours: 8.30am – 6pm with some earlier starts / late finishes required.

Salary: Depending on experience, reviewed annually.

Terms: Full-time.
